Why does Avium Oculus Exist?
Avium Oculus exists to introduce drone technology and analytics to the average business owner. We guaratnee speefy deliverables, quality imagery, and close communication with clients. This helps us to empower business owners in our area by providing them with reliable data.
How did Avium Oculus start?
Avium Oculus really began in November of 2021 when co-founders Thomas and Kyle joined forces to investigate the possibility of introducing drone mapping to a smaller marketplace in their hometown of Chapel Hill NC. The research and development phase taking place over the next eight months enabled the rebranded Avium Oculus to tackle marketing focused projects after the launch in early June of 2022.
What does Avium Oculus value as a company?
Avium Oculus values attention to detail, constant communication, and timeliness above all. We are also persistent with our projects and can assure that each client will be more than satisfied with each job we take on.
What is the most important hurdle in your industry?
The most difficult hurdle in the drone industry currently is the lack of education when it comes to the abilities and sophistication of modern drones. For the past decade or so drones have been seen as strictly a camera in the sky. With the introduction of automation technology accompanied by the plethora of payloads new drones can equip, they can be employed effectively in any industry to provide a valuable perspective.
How long is your average project?
We take on projects ranging from completion within the same day to months or years before contract expiration. There is no job too large for us to take on, we pride ourselves on always finding a way.
What sort of gear do you shoot with?
Our current fleet includes a DJI Phantom 4 Pro + V2 and a Mavic Pro. We plan on including drones from the DJI enterprise series in the near future to expand our service offerings. All handheld gear we use is rented from subcontractors.
How many edits do I get?
As many as necessary! We typically aim for a deliverable time window and adjust edits based on feedback to meet that metric.
Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
Our team is very focused on customer support and satisfaction. We work closely to communicate with each client in order to deliver a product that exceeds expectations.
What make's Avium Oculus's videos unique?
To be completely honest, we capture the risky angles that aren't suitable for the typical drone operator. We fly within inches of trees, bridges, or whatever the obstruction may be to capture the most eye catching media.
What are the maps used for?
Our 2D and 3D orthographic maps are the pinnacle of visual media. The high resolution imagery enables any individual to view a subject at infinite angles and measure it with accuracy of under a centimeter. These maps are stitched to existing map infrastructures using GPS data, and are several times higher quality than satellite competitors. We can host these files on our website through secure pages, enabling clients to provide points of interest for data analysis or further image capture.
Who will own the deliverables?
Ownership of completed photo and video assets are transferred upon finalization to the client. All map data is owned by Avium Oculus unless otherwise specified within contract. Raw photo and video is owned by Avium Oculus unless otherwise specified by contract.
What if I don't like the 3D map?
The modularity of our software enables us to return for further data capture allowing for additions to the model. If you are dissatisfied with the resolution or accuracy of your model, we will work closely with you to solve the problem or issue a refund if necessary.
